Melissa has been with BBI for over 15 years, with technical experience in antibody development, manufacturing, and process development working to help bring customers products and services that meet their individual needs.

She currently serves as senior product manager for the Disease Agnostic portfolio including HRP, ALP, Gold, & Polystreptavidin. She is a qualified scientist (MSc in Applied Medical Sciences) and strives to add value to the global life sciences industry doing her small part to help BBI’s customers reach their innovative goals.​

Simon is the Commercial Technical Lead for BBI antigen products, supporting clients with technical reagent solutions for antigens, serum and plasma products and specific cell culture media supplements within the BBI portfolio of products.

As part of the team that developed many of the purification strategies and defined the product analytical specifications, Simon has a broad background in Biomedical Sciences. He has worked for BBI for over 30 years, has a comprehensive knowledge of the IVD industry, is a long-term member of the ADLM and has participated in various global protein biomarker standardisation projects.

“Haemoglobin Testing in Diabetes – Why the Details Matter” explores the growing global prevalence of diabetes and the importance of understanding diagnostic tools used to monitor this disease. The presentation provides an overview of biomarkers and methodologies used in clinical settings, with a focus on HbA1c. It also highlights the unique reagents that BBI offers to support IVD companies in the development of accurate and reliable testing methods.
