Melissa Hamel
Product Manager, Antibodies Portland, ME
Melissa has been with BBI for over 15 years, with experience in antibody development, manufacturing, and process development working to help bring customers products and services that meet their individual needs.
She currently serves as global product manager for the Antibodies portfolio of products and custom services. She is a qualified scientist (MSc in Applied Medical Sciences) and strives to add value to the global life sciences industry doing her small part to help BBI’s customers reach their innovative goals.
Commercial Technical Lead, Antigens Crumlin, Wales
Simon is the Commercial Technical Lead for BBI antigen products, supporting clients with technical reagent solutions for antigens, serum and plasma products and specific cell culture media supplements within the BBI portfolio of products.
As part of the team that developed many of the purification strategies and defined the product analytical specifications, Simon has a broad background in Biomedical Sciences. He has worked for BBI for over 30 years, has a comprehensive knowledge of the IVD industry, is a-long term member of the ADLM and has participated in various global protein biomarker standardisation projects.
Global Commercial Lead, Lateral Flow Crumlin, Wales
Lisa has over 20 years of experience working in the lateral flow diagnostics market, having started her career developing saliva-based LFAs for drugs of abuse.
Since moving into a commercially focused role 15 years ago Lisa has supported many customers in taking their assay development plans from concept to routine manufacturing.
Tinus has been with BBI for over 15 years, with experience in development and bulk manufacturing/purification of natural enzymes and proteins from various biological materials.
He currently serves as the site lead for the South African operation. He is a qualified biochemist (MSc in medical biochemistry) and strives to add value to the global healthcare and diagnostics industry.
